Charity Shop Volunteers

We are looking for a number of volunteers who can commit to a minimum of a half day shift per week to allow us to extend our opening hours.

We have 11 shops across the borough so there should be one close to you.  On the application form at question 10, after you have entered the Volunteer Opportunity Reference number – VO10595, please enter which shop you prefer.  In return you’ll be offered support and training to do the job, as well as the opportunity to be part of a brilliant team who really make a difference.

Our charity shops are operated by a team of committed volunteers, who give their time and skills to raise vital funds for the hospice and they are supported by the Retail Managers.  This role is currently only open to applicants over the age of 18.

A typical day will involve sorting donations, rotating stock, assisting customers with their purchases, as well as ensuring the shop is well presented and welcoming to customers to help to bring in as much income as possible to support the hospice.

We are looking for a number of volunteers who can commit to a minimum of a half day shift per week to allow us to extend our opening hours.  The shifts may vary slightly by shop, but are generally 9.00am – 12.30pm & 12.30pm – 4.00pm and we also need volunteers in our shop located on the Robin Park Retail Park in Wigan, which is open on Sundays and is fully accessible too.
