City of Trees is the community forest for Greater Manchester and runs Citizen Forester public volunteering days for anyone to get involved with environmental management works. Citizen Forester is a way for anyone to join in and show support for our mission to plant trees, look after trees and create a culture of trees. Citizen Forester is open to everyone in Greater Manchester. Our region is one of the most diverse in the country, and so we passionately believe in connecting all communities and individuals to their urban forest. Our Citizen Forester volunteering days include a range of activities including tree planting, tree maintenance and woodland management. Come along for the day and learn new skills, meet new people in your community and help to make your local green space better. All volunteers will be be given instruction on the task and provided with all tools needed.
