Role and Opportunity Details (You must be 18+ to apply for this role)

Safeguarding Trainer

In this role, you will support the team in delivering safeguarding training to our volunteers and staff members.

We rely on volunteers like you to help us improve the lives of people with sight loss.

In this role your support will include:

• Using Guide Dogs standards to deliver safeguarding training for your local team.
• Ensuring to keep up to date with best practice for delivering safeguarding training.
• Organising dates, times, and locations for safeguarding training with your local team.
• Organising training materials for training sessions with your local teams.

 

Specific Skills Required

Ideally you will:

• Have relevant experience or understanding of working in a safeguarding setting and having significant safeguarding responsibilities.
• Be able to meet the criteria of a safeguarding trainer.
• Demonstrate appropriate values, attitudes, and behaviours in relation to
  Safeguarding.
• Have experience delivering training and confidence in demonstrating skills in relation to the training.
• Be able to demonstrate empathy whilst challenging inappropriate behaviours.
