Community Engagement (Seldom Heard) Trustee:

Are you a parent carer in Wigan Borough, passionate about positively impacting the lives of families like yours?

About Parent Carer Forums:

Parent Carer Forums (PCFs) are grassroots organisations that bring together Parent Carers of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).  These forums provide a collective voice for families, offering a platform to share experiences, concerns, and insights related to the challenges of caring for children with additional needs.

At the heart of Parent Carer Forums is a commitment to empowering families and ensuring their voices are heard in decision-making that impacts their lives. Forums collaborate with local authorities, health services, and other stakeholders to influence policies, services, and provisions for children and young people with SEND.

By fostering a supportive community, Parent Carer Forums aim to create positive change, improve access to resources, and enhance the overall well-being of families navigating the complexities of caring for children with additional needs.

Wigan Parent Carer Forum is dedicated to championing the interests of parent carers in our community. Join us in making a difference and shaping a more inclusive and supportive environment for all families.
