Role and Opportunity Details (to apply you must be 18 years +)

Volunteer Youth Worker

Locations:

• Spa Road (BL1 4AG) or
• Westhoughton

Duration:

We ask for a minimum of 3 months as we feel this is the minimum needed for you to build meaningful relationships with our young people, be a consistent role model, and to really get something out of the training and volunteering experience.

Times:

Times and days vary by location and age, as well as your availability.

About the role:

You will be a crucial part of delivering our Youth Club activities for our Youth Club Sessions, engaging with young people to provide fun and enriching activities.

Our Junior Club is for ages 8 -11 and is full of fun, creativity and laughter.

Our Senior Club is for ages 12 – 19 and is great place for young people to have fun, build relationships and access opportunities.

Each session is completely different, one day you could find yourself organising an obstacle course, helping our young people create a master piece in the art area, getting a cream pie in the face in a quiz, playing a life size game of ‘Hungry Hippos’, teaching someone to play pool, choreographing a new dance routine or many other things!

There’s a wide range of different activities every session, but what you’ll find with every activity, is that you will be someone for that young person to talk to and make a difference to their lives.
