Casual Young Carers Activity Volunteer .

A Casual Young Carers Activity Volunteer helps young carers take a break from their responsibilities by supporting fun, safe, and engaging activities.

 

Specific Skills Required

• Empathetic and patient.
• Reliable and responsible.
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Enjoys working with children and young people.
• Has some understanding / knowledge of issues affecting young carers.
• Commitment and reliability.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
• Ability to engage and participate in activities alongside staff and young carers.

Level of Commitment:  Casual

 

Hours / Days / Location:

• Sessions 2 – 4 hours, ad hoc.
• Location:  Hindley or outreach locations.
• Availability:
  • Weekdays Wednesday/Thursday:  Evenings, 5:00 – 7:00 PM
  • School Holidays:  Between 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Saturdays:  10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
