Role and Opportunity Details
A choice of opportunities in growing and tending flowers and flower displays, or in growing vegetables for the use of local residents. or both!
Work ranges through the year from seed sowing and raising, planning displays, dealing with weeds and watering needs to storing tender perennials over winter. As little as an hour per week can be accommodated, but ideally an offer of up to 3 hours at the convenience of the volunteer is most welcome. We would also welcome occasional help with fundraising and keeping simple financial records up-to-date,
Specific Skills Required
On growing, none apart from a basic interest, as work is always supported and skills (such as recognising weeds from plants) will develop.
