Volunteer Processing and Warehousing.
Location: Standish Gate Warehouse.
Hours: Flexible arrangements according to the opening times and your availability but volunteers normally complete a 3 or 4 hour shift.  The retail shop is open from 9.30am till 4.30pm, Monday to Saturday, and Sunday 10:00am till 4:00pm.
Reports to: Store Manager.

Overview: As a dedicated Processing and Warehouse Volunteer you will be hands on supporting the backbone of our retail operations.  This role is vital in ensuring stock is sorted, processed, and organised efficiently.  If you enjoy physical tasks and working as part of a hardworking team, this is the role for you.

• Stock Sorting & Processing and preparing items for the shop floor.
• Warehouse Organisation by maintaining a clean, tidy, and efficient warehouse space.
• Ensuring good practice in Manual Handling and applying safe lifting techniques for handling stock.
• Ensuring items are in good condition before distribution, following quality control guidelines and procedures.
• Assist with deliveries and directing products into the correct areas of the warehouse.

 

Specific Skills Required

• Enthusiastic and willing to get involved in physical tasks.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
• No previous experience required—training will be provided.
